The Arowana ( Osteoglossum bicirrhosum) is large fish suitable for a good sized tank, it should not be kept with smaller fish as it will assume they are lunch. Arowanas are able to breathe air by way of their swim bladders and are excellent jumpers a covered aquarium is must. They are not for the beginner as they grow to 100 cms and mostly need to eat other fishes when they are mature.
